Another Hero Goes to Hell

Approaching the 1996 election cycle, the search was on for someone to run against and replace that raping, lying, cheating, thieving, disbarred lawyer who was occupying the White House at that time.  Like many others, I wholeheartedly supported the candidacy of a man who had demonstrated determination, dedication and decorum.  This man had much been in the public eye for five years and constantly and consistently showed Americans a fellow American of loyalty and leadership, intelligence, integrity and honor.
This man should have loved the opportunity to unseat the ungrateful administration who denied him the opportunity to be the first man since Omar Bradley to wear a fifth star.  I'm convinced to this day that if he had seized that opportunity, late twentieth and early 21st century history would be different.

The biggest difference would be in this once great man who has become a shell and a shill.  If this man had reached for the highest star, that of the Presidency, I am certain that he would have attained it.  I am equally sure that he would have been as excellent as Commander in Chief as he had been as Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff.  As such, he would have gone down in history as one of the truly great Presidents, like Washington, Jefferson, Kennedy and Reagan, and not as those who have been touted as great, who weren't, like Lincoln, the Roosevelt's, Johnson, or this present pretender to the Presidency, for whom this once grand man of America is now shilling and outright lying.  He has to know that he is lying.
If this once hallowed hero had not subjugated his potential to others' and himself to subordination to others, I know that many of the problematic issues of today would not be issues at all.   This economic morass would probably not exist.  If Bolshevik Bill had been denied a second term, Communist Carter's big bill, The Community Reinvestment Act, which is at the heart of our contemporary economic horror might not have been forwarded on to becoming the inevitable housing bubble bursting, beginning the bailouts and all of the other buffoonery.  If this man had been President, the rise of Islamofascism wouldn't have dared risen.
Instead, he stepped aside, allowing lesser men of lesser abilities and achievements to lead, while he took a position of group member, rather than group leader, as he had been so well and for so long.   I understood and forgave him for endorsing Obama in '08,  even as I was championing a write-in campaign for this once magnificent man for President and Herman Cain for Vice-President.   The Bush administration had treated him shabbily and shamefully.  And this proud patriot saw the opportunity which he declined a dozen years before, to see, if not to be, America's first Negroid President.
Such an endorsement was understandable and forgivable.  Nothing was known of this unknown junior senator, besides being "clean", as his Vice-President said.  Four years later, we know that he is a baseborn, bolshevik buffoon and just another lying, cheating, thieving, conniving, shyster, charlatan, Chicagoland liberal lawyer without a law license.  We know that he is a Muslim Marxist/Marxist Muslim.  We know that he is a treasonous traitor and a maker of mayhem and murder, culpable in the deaths of Border Patrol Agent Terry and ICE Agent Zapata, as well as Ambassador Stevens and Navy SEALs Woods and Doherty.


How this once honest man can be such a whore is beyond my understanding or ability to forgive.  For a man who is as learned and level headed as he at least used to be, to endorse Obama for reelection is beyond comprehension of how such honor can turn to such ignobility.  General; Mister Secretary, how can you look into a camera and unblinkingly say what you're saying?  "Stabilization"?  It's the slowest since FDR's failure in the 30's that only entering a global war could fix.  "Housing picking up"?  What there might be exists only in sales at losses.  "Saving the auto industry"?  Again, this fascist only saved the trade unions and broke pretty much every tenet of constitutionally mandated bankruptcy laws in so doing.  "Solid in protecting us from"  Islamofascism?  You endorse the way he protected us in Benghazi, General?
Colin Luther Powell, by endorsing Barry Soetoro, a.k.a. Baracka Hussein Obama II for reelection in 2012, you have fundamentally transformed from revered hero to reviled harlot.  How much is he paying you or what does he have on you?  If you were to say that you're  endorsing him because he and you share minority ethnicity, I could go figure.  But I can't figure how a man of your past can come to such a present.  Well, you can't be called an Uncle Tom or sell-out anymore by those whom Obama wants you to reach.  But you are indeed a sell-out.  You are the supreme sell-out, General, much like an earlier American general named Benedict Arnold.
