And THIS Is A-STON-ishing!!

And what's even more amazing and astonishing are the apparent complexities and kookiness of copyright laws.  At least, that's what I'm assuming is the reason for one of Celtic Woman's most enjoyable and important songs not being on any of their concert DVD's, even though it's performed in concert and even posted on the internet.
Orinoco Flow was composed and performed by Enya in the late 1980's.  She is the superlative songstress who first introduced me, if not the entire Earth, to the magic and majesty of Celtic music.
Celtic Woman's rendition of it during their South Bend concert is the most breathtakingly beautiful vocal and visual presentation of the song I've ever witnessed. Chloe, Lisa and Susan are all just spellbinding

The performance at Slane Castle by the original charter vocalists, Lisa, Maev and Orla, with full orchestral and choral backing is also magnificent and magical.  Like the later offering at Morris Performing Arts Center, it sadly isn't included on the concert DVD.

It was also part of their Destiny concert, but not part of their Gramy nominated album.  Hmmmm...
Also part of their current Voices of Angels tour, wherein it is more simplistically, but still eloquently produced and presented, I wonder if it will be included in any possible DVD.  Hmmmm, again,

The New Ground/Isle of Hope Isle of Tears is perhaps the most important story telling song ever sung, relaying the story of Annie Moore, the Irish teenager who was the first immigrant processed through Ellis Island on its opening day of January 1, 1892.  Though maybe not precisely historically accurate, it tells well the story of Irish fortitude and courage.
It is included on the concert DVD from their Songs from the Heart concert at Powerscourt in 2009, with original vocalists Chloe and Lisa, along with newcomers Lynn Hillary and 'my beautiful cousin' Alex performing.
If the Celtic Woman powers who be decide to shoot a concert video of the ladies' current Voices of Angels tour, I do hope that they will include Eabha's celestial solo singing of it with the powerfully moving slide show behind her.
