It's Time To Call A Spade A Spade

Last year, I had grand dreams of men and women of honesty, integrity, intelligence, accomplishment and achievement leading our government into a future reflective of our history.  It would have been a time of returned prosperity and posterity, inventiveness and entrepreneurialism  and  all empowering Americanism.

But, my dream was squashed by the continuing nightmare of my country being ruled by a bunch of bumble- headed, brain dead bolsheviks and simplistic socialists, whose only accomplishments are their lying, cheating, thieving, shucking and jiving, murderous, treasonous, thuggish ganstaism.  They will continue to give us (US) ruinous poverty and depravity; idiocy, ignorance and insolence, and crushing and killing communism.

We might as well be being 'led' by these thuggish murderers and murderous thugs.

All I can think is that I hope that I die soon, because I do NOT want to witness these clowns of color murder my country.

Greensboro Detests Disc Golf

My birth city of Greensboro has been gravely disappointing over the years...the Sit-ins, the Klan Nazi Shooting, which should have been labeled The Nazi Communist Shooting...but Greensboro's lack of understanding and appreciation for our sport of disc golf is grievous

There was a pretty cool little 18 hole course at Bryan Park in the early '80's.  I discovered it quite by accident when I lived in Brown Summit, after moving back to NC from LA, where I learned the sport playing Steady Ed's Hahamongna  and La Mirada in the 70's with only a dirt brown Aero with a pending patent number.  The course at Bryan Park was literally bulldozed and pushed over a cliff.  I recently heard from a source who should know that that was done at the bequest of the man for whom the park is named.
After we and others created, designed and built Johnson Street in High Point in 1992, my primary playing partner and I, as newly elected officers of the newly founded players' association/club, TADGA, approached the city of Greensboro about putting a course at their Hagan Stone Park.  They offered the property on E. Vandalia, which consisted of a gymnasium building and a tangled forest/jungle. Five years later, some local players got Greensboro to allow them to buy and install baskets and those crappy little cylinders at Barber Park, of all places.  Now, 15 years later, it is still the same, with no improvements or design tweaks, both of which are seriously needed and warranted.  About seven or eight years ago, a $10 million bond referendum for the park allocated $39,900 to the disc golf course.  All I've ever seen spent on the course were some REALLY crappy little plastic tee marker signs that lasted about a week and a half.
I had and have no problems with the millions already spent on replacing the collapsed roof of the Simkins Center, the technical improvements of the amphitheatre stage, or the building of new shelters and the sprayground and playground.  I have absolutely no problem with their scrapping the plans for building cement, stadium style seating for the amphitheatre and for the three on three basketball courts where the practice baseball field and hole number 14 are.  I have no problem with the construction of a nice, state of the art community center with expansive dining and kitchen facilities.  I do have problems with it being built right where number 14 is, as that is the best hole on the course and one of the best I've ever seen or played.  I have no problem with GPD's only request of building a second road in/out of the park, off Florida Street, right across from where English Street T intersects Florida.  I do have a problem with it coming across the field in such a way so as to destroy the baseball practice field and dozens, scores, hundreds of old growth, mature trees, when it should be built along the other side of the field, where a road bed already exists, where one, maybe two trees would have to be felled and the 14 basket could simply be moved 60 feet or so to the left to the middle of the field.  My biggest problem with the Barber Park Master Plan is the taxpayer raping seven figure expenditure for a fancy pants, highfalutin office/maintenance building to be built where holes 2 and 3 are.  That's where the community center should go.  The present office/maintenance facilities should be improved as actual, technical need dictates, but an entirely new structure should not be built, just so Barber Park's handful of employees can have fancy new digs.  In any event, the disc course is going to be relegated to the stinky sewer line/Buffalo Creek  swampland/jungle/forest, if it survives at all, with its allocated funds going somewhere else...probably into some bureaucrats' and/or politicians' pockets.
As for Keeley Park.  I'll be a dead old man before Keeley Disc Golf is ever born.   That's probably just as well, because the design I see on that park's master plan is tree killing crapola that doesn't utilize any of the grand, picturesque open area along the two power tower runs or the only real body of water in that area of the park.
The final word is, that Greensboro continues to fall behind and trail most every other NC city in disc golf development, as it does in so many areas of endeavor.
But, have hope and take heart, local discers.  My ancestral home county of Alamance might yet be persuaded to make Rock Creek a permanent course at Cedarock Park, in addition to their plans for a new 9 hole beginners' course there.  That would rival the 81 holes of golf in High Bridge, WI and perhaps let Cedarock regain its former #1 ranking as best disc golf park in America.     And there is talk of installing a "players' course" at Burlington's Springwood Park in the Whitsett community featuring two 1000'+ holes.  Burlington's Parks & Rec Director seems very optimistic, enthusiastic and encouraging about it.

It's Time for Some Tart Truth

Mark Twain said that a well told lie, told over and over again will have more credence than the truth.  I think that he shorted the statement by not going on to say "with the dumb masses."  And America today is filled with and full of dumb masses.  Look at recent election winners to see that premise as truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
So, to all of you dumb mass ghetto Gumps and trailer park trash, let me share some truth with you.
While it is generally true that all politicians are perpetual prevaricators, Baracka Hussein Obama and his Demoncat and Dummycrap devotees are the epitome of proper prevarication.  And since I know that you're too stupid and/or ignorant to know what that means, I'll tell you that it means that he and they are LIARS.  B. Hussein is first and foremost a lying, cheating, thieving, conniving, shyster, charlatan Chicagoland lawyer with a lost law license.  Any attorney who is SO bad, so as to lose his or her law license, like Bill Clinton, is an ultimate liar
.
Worse than Hussein's hoodwinkery is the Repulsicans' refusal to stand up and say out loud what a baseborn, bolshevik buffoon, bald faced liar Obama is. Simply because he's Negroid, the truth can't be uttered out loud about him.  John Bonehead, John McCain't make up his mind if he's liberal or conservative, Lindsay Gramnesty, Mitch McConfused about his mission, Eric Can't make up his mind, either, or any of the others won't dare publicly proclaim that OBAMA IS A LIAR AND A THIEF, as well as a Marxist Muslim.

Maybe the newly appointed senator from South Carolina will have the chutzpah to tell the truth about Obama, since he can't be labeled as a racist, though I'm sure he'd be called an Uncle Tom.

Party Politics Is For Putzes

I often wish that The Framers had had the insight and foresight of George Washington when it comes to political parties.  President Washington innately and inherently knew the evils of party politics.  I wish I wish I wish that he had been able to impart that wisdom to the writers of The Constitution, so that there had been a codicil mandating that any citizen wishing to run for public office could do so only as an individual espousing his or her own personal political/philosophical principles.
Despite the far seeing wisdom within his Farewell Address, Washington's advice was ignored from the very beginning of our country.  Otherwise great men, like Jefferson, Hamilton, et al. fell into the trap of the party politics of adversarialism, rather than seeking out a system of cooperative individualism.  From the first Presidential election of 1789, in which no candidate espoused party affiliation, to our latest election, political parties have proliferated, if not prospered, so that now, there are approximately forty-nine, yes, forty-nine recognized, to some extent or the other political parties in America.  And you thought there were only two.  There are over a dozen which include the words Socialist or Communist as part of their party name.
CPUSANSM World HeadquartersSocialist Democrats USAEugene Debs for PresidentJerry White for President (SEP) 1996Blomen-Taylor (SLP) - 1968Socialist Workers Party - 1980Democratic SocialistsLibertarian National Socialist Green PartyRevoltuionary Communist PartyWorld Socialist Party USAAmerican Nazi Party
I include the American Nazi Party in this list, as Nazi translates to National Socialist.  I didn't include parties which espouse socialistic/communistic doctrine, without having either of those words are part of the parties' names.
Peace & Freedom Party - 1968Griswold--Holmes (WWP) 1980Progressive Labor Party
If we have to practice party politics, I propose a new and wholly different type of organization: one that truly focuses on the individuals comprising the party, rather than the party itself.  I would choose, as I did in 2008, a name that has surprisingly never been used, and despite its six syllables, is a universally understood and comprehended concept, as contrasted by the much misunderstand five syllable name of Libertarian, or as I now label them, the Liebertarians.  This party would be The Individualist Party, promoting policy and programs grounded in individualism, which states that each and every one should have freedom in his or her economic pursuits and should succeed by his or her own initiative. It is a doctrine that properly proclaims that the interests of the individual should have preference over the interests of the state or social group. Without personal rights, there can be no popular rights.
The IP's primary platform plank would be: NO POLITICAL CORRECTNESS!!!  There is not, among man's inalienable rights, the right from being offended.  Demoncatic and even establishment Repulsican progressives have no trouble calling conservatives murderers, dog haters, corporate raiders and company killers, it is time to label liberals as the liars and  assassins whom they are.  The entirety of domestic policy would be encapsulated in the concept that government is to exist only to the extent of preventing any individual or corporation from experiencing demonstrable loss or harm through the force or fraud of another, while establishing and enforcing law for bankruptcies, patents and copyrights, coinage and currency, and weights and measures, while also building and maintaining transportation infrastructure.  It is the primary function of government to protect the citizenry, legal residents and visitors from such demonstrable loss or harm through force or fraud perpetrated by another and to provide remedies in response to such overt actions.  Secondarily, it is to enact and enforce such laws designed to promote uniform safety and overall prosperity of the one, and as byproduct, the whole.  Foreign affairs would be based on Washington's warning to avoid entanglements with foreign nations.  Beyond equitable and open trade, the U.S. should have no dealings with non-American governments, groups or persons, with the exception of The Capitalist Coalition treaty, stipulating preferred trading partner status and common defense alignment with a very few foreign states.  The following images could serve as Party emblems better than elephants or jack asses or unionized mobs.  .

The only way to successfully start such a party is to have appropriate Republicans, like Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Jim Demint, Herman Cain, Wallace Jefferson, Dale Wainwright, Clarence Thomas, Allen West, Bobby Jindal, Tom del Beccaro, Michele Bachmann, Sarah Palin, Alveda King, Mary Fallin, Michael Williams, Debra Mayfield, Janice Rogers Brown, Mia Love, Renee Ellmers, Jan Brewer, Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter publicly and proudly pronounce their affiliation with this new party.  High profile Libertarians like Neil Boortz, Jason Lewis, and Conservatives like Sean Hannity and truly unaffiliated conservatives Dr. Michael Savage would need to do the same.
     Judge Mayfield
These are the varied and versatile, determined and diverse faces of contemporary American conservatism and individualism.  So, do these famous, semi-famous, quasi-famous people and all of the unknown Americans of like minds start a new organization, or find a way, as President Reagan implored, to revitalize the Repulsican/Rebooblican party into an organization of true, Constitutionally conservative principles.   And if that is the case, how do we get rid of, or, at least greatly diminish the influence of such spineless RINO's as John McCain't make up his mind if he's conservative or liberal, Lindsay Gramnesty, and John  Boo Hoo Bonehead?
